7 Candles To Turn Your Staycation Into A Tropical Vacation

After the magic of Thanksgiving and Christmas and Valentine’s Day have worn off, but it’s not quite spring yet, I get a little bit into the doldrums. The weather outside is so chilly and same-y that I find my thoughts drifting toward warmer climates.

In other words, this is the time of year I most find myself wanting to buy a plane ticket to somewhere with pink sands and turquoise waters. Digging my toes into the warm sand of Waikiki. Exploring a coral reef nestled against the lush island of Bali. Or collecting intricate seashells at sunrise in the Florida Keys. You get the picture!

And when that’s not a possibility? I simply light a candle. These seaside scents instantly transport me to sunnier, sandier destinations, and they’re much cheaper than travel. Here are seven of my favorites.

Siren Fine Fragrances Sea Glass

From fresh marine scents to the smoky smell of driftwood and a burst of sweet tropical fruit, this long-lasting candle has a multifaceted scent.

Votivo Island Grapefruit

Juicy, sweet and sour grapefruit is larger than life in an understated classic presentation.

Capri Blue Volcano

A candle that captures the wild side of a tropical vacation. Explore an aromatic jungle of lush tropical fruit and sugared citrus scents.

Bath & Body Works Endless Weekend

Make it a staycation that never ends with the relaxing scents of Georgia magnolia, coconut water, and warm citrus in a frosted glass votive.

Yankee Candle Island Spa

Vibrant lemon verbena and juicy Mandarin orange make this candle evocative of an island escape that is as rejuvenating as it is relaxing.

Nest Ocean Mist & Sea Salt

A contemporary take on your typical ocean scent which blends tangy sea salt, delicate white tea, and sweet and heady coconut.

Woodwick Island Coconut

Crushed pineapples and creamy coconut make for a pina colada for the senses. Combined with Woodwick’s trademark crackling wooden wick, and it’s an almost meditative experience.
