My Top 5 Candle Blogs – Candle Fandom

My Top 5 Candle Blogs

I love reading about candles almost as much as I like candles themselves. When I’m not writing on my own blog, I’m checking out a couple of these great candle blogs. Check them out:

Candle Find

With three regular reviewers and a forum for readers, this site has no shortage of candle opinions. It also includes great resources like an alphabetical list of candle brands and their locations.

Candle Junkies

A mix of DIYs and reviews with the goal of helping you choose for yourself which candle you like best. They’ll write up a bunch of reviews for one category (like jewelry candles) all at once, so you can read their reactions and make your own savvy shopping choices.

CandleScoop

A lot of great resources on this site, but my favorite is their complete list of EVERY Yankee candle scent (and a description of what it’s like) so you know can buy online instead of spending a day sniffing everything in the store.

The Candle Review

Currently hasn’t been updated since winter 2016, but I hope it comes back soon! The Candle Review doesn’t just do the reviews in its title, but also offers a lot of tips on how to get the most out of your candles.

Yankee Candle Sisters

Averaging 3 reviews a week and 600+ posts since 2011, this is one of the most prolific candle blogs I’ve found! The Yankee Candle Sisters share clear, concise graded reviews so you can really get a feel for each candle they assess.

    1. Hey there. My name is Becki Percy. I’m the co-owner of Gentle Aroma – a handmade bath and body business. I was wondering if you would be willing to check my candles and wax melts out?

Thank you so much for your time.

    1. Hello. I’m looking for advice on candle making. I’m an amateur candle maker and have recently run into some issues but don’t know where to get advice.

        1. Everyone should have made & tested several candles before trying to sell. I have been making candles for 50 years & I am appalled at the number of people starting with kits trying to sell candles!

    1. Hi, I recently launched CandleAddict.net with a specific focus on luxury & designer candles! Would be great to have your thoughts on it 🙂

    1. I have run a professional candle company for over 25 years. My grandparents made and sold them and taught me how at a very young age. I am frustrated with the number of chandlers who advertise their candles as “all natural” “vegan” and so on. There is NO candle wax that does not need additives in it to be functional enough for candle making. Supporting the soy bean industry by buying soy wax, also means you are supporting Monsanto (now owned by Bayer) and other large agro- chemical companies who think nothing of polluting our environment, while the corporate owned soy bean farms pollute thousands of acres every year – and pollute the surrounding environment. Paraffin wax is derived from the petroleum industry which is a by product of petrolatum. We you aware ALL soy waxes have paraffin added to them for stability? Stop lying to your customers. And if you truly care about the environment you would not be using soy at all.
